Solar battery maintenance

Keep a stored battery charged without guessing.

Start with the battery chemistry, rated voltage, capacity, storage conditions, and any standby draw. The TM522-D family is for one supported 12 V battery during storage.

These products charge and maintain one supported battery. They do not supply lights, pumps, tools, or other loads.

Choose from the battery out to the panel

  1. Battery

Confirm 12 V rating, chemistry, capacity, and condition.

  2. Storage

Note the storage period, standby draw, shade, and winter exposure.

  3. Controller

Keep the controller and connections dry and protected.

  4. Solar package

    Choose 10 W, 20 W, or 40 W only after the first three checks.

TM522-D

Three outputs for one supported 12 V battery.

The current family supports 12 V lead-acid and 12.8 V or 13.2 V four-cell LiFePO4 batteries. Panel wattage alone does not make the choice.
